Two of my passions in life are art and boating. I became involved in both at an early age. Growing up on Day Island in Tacoma, WA., boating was a big part of our family life. Our family first made trips to the San Juan Islands when I was 3. At this age I also began to draw. At 10, I was painting with oils. Now I use fluid acrylics with a focus on watercolor style.

For many years, I worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. After working in the corporate world for many years, I decided to go back to my roots as a fine artist and live my passion . I now enjoy working with fellow boaters, capturing their boating memories in a custom painting. I work from their photos, helping to select the perfect view and location of their boat or yacht.

I have never stopped being passionate about either art or boating. When out cruising in our 33' Bayliner "Shortcake", I reach for my sketch pad instead of a fishing rod.

My card line, BAYS, HARBORS & MARINAS, was created from our favorite cruising destinations. My husband and I get away as much as possible, cruising into Canada. I photograph many of these favorite cruising and anchorage destinations to use either for backgrounds for my boat portraits or add to my card line.
