The Boat Show Gallery is the brainchild of Richard Nevels, an accomplished and successful craftsman and marketing professional. Richard is the creator of False Bay Boxes, one-of-a-kind art boxes carved from San Juan Island driftwood.

Beginning in 1982, he marketed his craft at most of the major juried craft fairs in the West and has been represented in many of the finest art and fine woodworking galleries on the West Coast. Over more than twenty years, Richard has sold virtually every box he has made.

The Boat Show Gallery is the natural evolution of Richard's nautically themed boxes. When looking to finely target plus expand his market, he looked to the yachting community and found a very receptive audience, both for his work and the work of other professional artists. His experience in the art world as well as retailing, made the Boat Show Gallery the next logical step in his career.
